Seesam must be notified of damage as soon as possible, but not later than within three working days of the occurrence of the insured event.

In case of an accident:
- Quickly see a doctor and follow the doctor's instructions.
- If necessary, call the police.
- Notify Seesam as soon as possible.
- Ask the doctor to fill in the Doctor's Decision Form and give you the treatment documents.
- Send an accident indemnity application and other documents to Seesam not later than within three months of completion of treatment.
To apply for indemnity, submit the following:
- an accident indemnity application;
- a copy of the policy that was valid during occurrence of the accident;
- a copy of the certificate for sick leave filled in by the employer and submitted to the medical institution (except in the case of non-working persons);
- in the case of hospitalisation, an extract of the disease/health file;
- a doctor's decision made on the Seesam form;
- in the event of a fractured bone, X-rays along with a description of the findings and a diagnosis;
- in the case of an occupational accident, the occupational accident report;
- a certificate of the police if the injury was caused by an act punishable by criminal or administrative procedure;
- the identity document of the beneficiary or the B card of the company if the indemnity claim exceeds 14,000 Estonian kroons or if the beneficiary and the insured are different persons;
- a copy of the list of insured persons (in the case of corporate accident insurance).
To apply for a daily allowance indemnity, submit the following:
- a copy of the sick leave certificate filled in by the employer and submitted to the medical insurance institution for payment, save for the self-employed; and
- a certificate about income taxable with social tax as declared during the 6 months directly preceding the calendar month of occurrence of the insured event. Self-employed people have to submit an income tax return about income taxable with social tax as declared during the last two calendar years. People whose income is one-off have to submit an income tax return about two calendar years chosen from the last five calendar years.
To apply for compensation for costs of dental care and rehabilitation prescribed by your physician, submit the following:
- a medical document setting out the justification for the treatment;
- in the event of dental injury, an extract from the dental care card; and
- documents certifying costs.
To apply for a permanent disability indemnity, submit the following:
- a medical document describing the permanent and non-recovering injury and its extent; and
- if possible, the decision of medical expertise about permanent incapacity for work.
