Why does the amount of insurance premiums change after the replacement of a vehicle?

If a customer sells an old vehicle and purchases a new one, the amount of insurance premiums may change in accordance with the technical specifications of the new vehicle (e.g., more powerful engine, heavier maximum authorized weight).

If a customer has several vehicles, the insurance statistics with due account of all vehicles held by the policyholder shall be calculated, on the basis of which the amount of insurance premiums for a new vehicle shall be calculated.

Is the ‘green card’ needed upon travelling outside Estonia?

The standard motor third party liability insurance policy is valid in the Member States of the European Union, but upon travelling outside Estonia we recommend taking the green card (there are countries where border guards or police officers may ask for it).
