Seesam small boat insurance possibilities

As is the case with motor vehicles, you can choose between full comprehensive and partial comprehensive insurance.

Full comprehensive insurance is the best choice if the recreational water craft is used at sea, where storms and hitting reefs pose a serious threat. It is also necessary if the craft is being transported from one location to another by land. Full comprehensive insurance covers marine casualties (hitting a reef, a collision, and storm damage); theft, robbery, vandalism; fire, explosion, lightning strike; damage to a water craft while on a means of transport or a slipway upon moving by land. Recreational craft insurance includes liability insurance – if the during the course of the marine casualty people are injured or their assets damaged, then the victims shall be indemnified for any such damages.

Partial comprehensive insurance includes all of the risks in full comprehensive insurance except for a marine casualty. Partial comprehensive insurance is a suitable for variant for recreational craft which are operated on familiar, calm waters and inland bodies of water, where there is no danger of striking a reef.

Recreational craft insurance is valid without an additional agreement in the Baltic Sea and its bays as well as Baltic and Nordic coastal waters.
