Comprehensive insurance claim


Report the loss to Seesam immediately after the occurrence of the insured event. A loss adjustment form can be completed directly on Seesam's homepage, by sending a letter to the e-mail address or directly contacting a repair shop and submitting a comprehensive insurance claim, pictures, and other documents via the above. From the menu selection below you will also find information about how to proceed following the occurrence of an insured event.

Important information in case of a loss even

Traffic accident

  • If people have been injured as a result of the accident, provide first aid and summon emergency medical care and the police. To summon emergency medical care or the police, call the alarm centre at the emergency number 112.
  • Switch on the emergency lights of the damaged vehicle(s) or place the warning triangle on the road.
  • If a collision between two vehicles has occurred, mark the parties and circumstances of the accident on the form “Traffic Accident Notice Form”. Make sure to try to fill in all the gaps and make certain that the person who caused the damage confirms their liability for the damage with their signature.
  • If the two parties are unable to reach an agreement regarding who is at fault, call the police. To do so, call 112.
  • Follow the instructions provided by the police.

Hitting a wild animal or livestock

  • According to the Traffic Act, if material damage occurred as a result of hitting an animal or avoiding it, the emergency centre must immediately be informed of the traffic accident and measures must be taken according to the instructions received from the alarm centre.
  • The deductible shall not be applied when compensating damage resulting from hitting a wild animal or livestock, although in order to receive insurance indemnity

Theft, robbery, damage caused by a third person

  • Immediately inform the police of the incident. To do so, call 112.
  • Request the investigation results of the criminal matter from the police.

Fire

  • Immediately notify the emergency centre of the incident by telephoning the emergency number 112.
  • Request documentation from the Rescue Board regarding the occurrence of and reasons for the fire.
General requirements for an incident involving traffic damage:
  • Stay calm and try to limit further loss and damage to the property. Save what can be saved!
  • Switch on the emergency lights of the damaged vehicle(s) or place the warning triangle on the road.
  • If a person has been injured or killed in the event of a traffic accident, summon emergency medical care or the rescue service and the police To summon emergency medical care, the police or the rescue service, call the emergency centre at the emergency number 112. Write down the names and addresses of the eyewitnesses.
  • If only material damage has been caused as a result of the traffic accident and the drivers or the driver involved in the accident and the person who suffered the material damage agree on assessment of the causes and liability, the police do not have to be notified The parties involved fill in a Traffic Accident Notice Form or formalise their opinion on a blank sheet of paper on site.
  • The free-format notice must indicate the details of the vehicles involved (registration plate, make and model), drivers, vehicle owners (personal identification code, names, addresses, contact information) and the insurer and a diagram of the traffic accident
  • If the persons involved in the traffic accident are in disagreement over the assessment of the causes behind and liability for the accident or if the injured person is not known, the person who caused the damage is not present at the scene of the accident or if the material damage occurred due to hitting an animal or avoiding it, the police must be notified of the traffic accident and their instructions must be followed.

The Seesam Autoabi service is free to comprehensive insurance customers in Estonia as well as abroad, no deductible applies.

We remind you that in order to use the Seesam Autoabi service (including free accommodation costs), you must telephone +372 6221 333. Seesam’s free roadside assistance service will not available if you order roadside assistance using any other numbers.

What are the services offered by Seesam Autoabi?

  • Free assistance across Europe – the service is available in the designated area marked on your insurance policy. A client that requires assistance abroad will initially be advised via telephone and, if necessary, a local service provider from the corresponding country will be sent to render assistance.
  • Quick dispatch to the scene of the event – in bigger Estonian towns, help will arrive within 30 minutes.
  • Consultation in the event of a traffic accident – we will help you to complete the accident notice and tell you how to proceed.
  • Towing of vehicle – if there is a technical problem with your vehicle which cannot be repaired on the spot, or if it is impossible to continue driving with the vehicle for other reasons, the vehicle shall be towed to the nearest authorized representation or repair shop.
  • Transporting travellers to their destination – if the vehicle required towing, the driver and passengers will be transported to their desired destination within Estonia.
  • Bringing fuel - if you run out of fuel, sufficient fuel will be brought to enable the client to drive to the nearest filling station (cost of fuel included in price).
  • Pulling out a vehicle – if you vehicle is in a ditch, or is stuck in the snow or sand, a tow truck will be sent to help you.
  • Starting a vehicle – if your battery is dead, the vehicle will be started with the help of a special device (booster), in accordance with the requirements set forth by the dealership.
  • Tyre change – if you have a spare tyre, the damaged tyre will be replaced on the spot with the spare tyre. If there is no spare tyre, the tyre will be taken to a repair shop for repair or the vehicle will be towed to the repair shop (free tyre repair when on-site).
  • Resolving other problems – if the alarm will not deactivate, keys have been locked in the vehicle or other technical faults arise which prevent you from continuing on your way, the solution is Seesam Autoabi service.
  • If an insured event involving roadside assistance occurs outside of the Republic of Estonia, in which if the policy holder is unable to use the vehicle as a result of the incident, reasonable accommodation expenses shall be indemnified for up to three (3) days for the driver and one passenger.
